Pedalers Corner

The fine print

Plain words, no traps

What happens to the information you give this website — what we collect, why we collect it, who else can see it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.Last updated October 22, 2026

01Who we are

Pedalers Corner is a small, family-run bicycle shop at 840 9th Ave in Sidney, NE, owned and run by Doug & Vickey Loghry. This page explains what this website collects from visitors, what happens to it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The short version: we collect only what we need to answer you and fix your bike, we never sell it, and this site carries no advertising trackers.

02What you send us

When you use the repair request, rental or question form, you choose to send us your name, a phone number and/or email address, details about your bike, the kind of help you need, an optional preferred date, and your message. If you ask the AI Bike Doctor first and choose to attach its notes, those notes come along too.

We use it for one job: to reply, get your bike ready, and keep a record of the work we did. Nothing you type is used to build an advertising profile about you.

03The AI tools

The Bike Doctor and the Bike Finder are helpers on this site. The question you type is passed to an AI service that our website host provides, so it can write back a plain-language answer. What you type is not stored by us as a permanent file — it goes out, an answer comes back, and only the request itself is kept if you then send it to the shop.

To stop the tools being flooded, our host keeps a one-way fingerprint — a scramble of your IP address and browser details — so it can count requests per hour. It cannot be turned back into your IP address or used to identify you.

AI answers are general guidance, not a diagnosis and not a safety inspection. If braking, steering, the frame or an e-bike battery is involved, stop riding and bring the bike to the shop.

04Shop staff sign-in

The inbox behind the shop is for staff only, reached with a Google, email or Lovable sign-in for an address the owners have approved. Customers never need an account to send a request or use the site, and signing in is never required to browse it.

05What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. There are no advertising networks, no advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics profiles built from your visits on this site. Your details stay with the shop and with the services listed below that make the site work.

06What the site loads from elsewhere

A few pieces of this site come from outside servers, so your browser talks to them:

  • Web fonts from Google Fonts, so the headings look the way they do. Google sees the usual request data (including your IP address) when a page loads.
  • Google Maps, when you tap a directions or map link — that opens Google Maps under Google's own privacy policy.
  • Facebook and our in-stock inventory listing, when you click those links from the footer or buttons.
  • A small feedback tool (tweak.keentech.tech) that lets a visitor point at part of the page and leave a note for the owners. It can see the page you are on while you are using it.

07Where it is stored

The site, its database and its sign-in system are hosted for us by Lovable on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States. Every page is served over HTTPS, and access to the requests you send is limited to the shop team.

08How long we keep it

Long enough to help you, and then only as far as our shop records need — what we put on your bike, what we ordered for you, and anything warranty or recall related. If you ask us to delete your details we will, and if something has to stay for a legal or warranty reason, we will tell you what and why.

09Your choices

Email or call the shop and ask to see what we hold, have it corrected, or have it deleted. No account, no form, no fee.

Please don't send personal information about children. We don't knowingly collect it from anyone under 13; if a parent or guardian thinks we hold something about a child, tell us and we'll remove it.

10If you are outside the United States

We are a small Nebraska shop, and this site is written for people who ride near Sidney. If you are visiting from somewhere with its own data rules, email us and we will handle your request the same careful way.

11When this changes

If we change how we handle information, we update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. We will not quietly change what we do with your details.

Still unsure? Just ask

Doug and Vickey would rather talk it through than have you squint at legal wording. Call, text or email and a real person at the shop will answer.
